Getting Involved
Christianity is not just about what one thinks but about how one lives. We are called to a life together - a life of loving community and of faithful ministry or service. Jesus modeled that during His earthly ministry. Those who started to follow Him were drawn into a relationship not only with Him but with each other. Jesus didn’t just talk and teach, He sacrificed and served. In fact, Jesus said that He “... did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10.45, NIV).” As we come to Jesus, He asks us to follow Him into community and ministry. In fact, He makes that easy by giving each of His followers at least one gift or ability with which to build up the Church and serve the world.
